The Lonely Feeling of Talking to AI Too Much
Nobody warns you about this. You start using ChatGPT for small things. Quick answers. A joke when you're bored. Then one day you realize you've typed more words to a robot than to your best friend in a week. It feels fine at first. The AI is always there. Never busy. Never tired of your questions. But that's exactly the problem. Real relationships have friction. Friends take hours to reply. They misunderstand you. They cancel plans. That messiness is what makes connection real. AI gives you the opposite. Smooth. Instant. Empty. I'm not saying chatbots are evil. I use them every day. But I caught myself feeling genuinely excited to tell an AI something funny that happened. Not a person. That was the moment I closed the tab and called my sister. The robot will wait. Your people shouldn't have to.
