Running a Kubernetes Cluster for $0.10 a Day with GKE Autopilot

Affordable Kubernetes with GKE Autopilot
Kubernetes is powerful but scary. It's also expensive if you run it wrong. I had a small app that needed a database, a cache, and an API. Running this on standard GKE with three nodes would cost me $50+ a month. Then I discovered GKE Autopilot. Instead of paying for nodes, I pay for pods. My cluster runs only when there's work to do. My database pod? Gone when not in use. My API? Scales to zero at night. At the end of the month, my GKE bill was $3.17. That's about $0.10 a day. Autopilot handles all the node management, security patches, and scaling. I get all the benefits of Kubernetes without any of the operational overhead. If you think Kubernetes is too expensive or too complex for small projects, try Autopilot. It might change your mind.
