Real Estate: More Than Just Selling Homes

Real Estate Careers
I got my real estate license thinking I’d be showing houses on weekends. I quickly learned that residential sales is just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a massive ecosystem in real estate. I transitioned into commercial real estate, focusing on industrial properties. With the boom in e-commerce, warehouses are in high demand. But there are also careers in property management, real estate development, appraisal, and mortgage lending. The market is cyclical, but if you’re good at building relationships and understanding market trends, it can be incredibly lucrative. The best part is the flexibility. I set my own schedule. The hardest part is the inconsistent income at the beginning. If you’re thinking about getting into real estate, I recommend finding a mentor or joining a team to learn the ropes. It’s a people business, and your reputation is everything. If you’re entrepreneurial and love the idea of helping people find a place to live or work, it’s a fantastic career path.
