I Made $3,400 Last Month Using AI (And You Can Too)

Let me be real with you. I'm not some tech guru or YouTuber selling a course. I'm just a regular person who figured out a few ways to let AI do the boring stuff while I pocket the cash. And no, you don't need to know how to code or have a computer science degree.

My first AI side hustle was stupid simple. I started writing resumes for people on Fiverr. But instead of staring at a blank screen for hours, I'd feed the person's old resume into Claude along with jobs they wanted. I'd say "rewrite this resume for a project manager role at a tech company, make it sound human not corporate zombie." Ten minutes later I had something solid. Charged $50 per resume. Did four of those a week while watching Netflix.

Then I got lazier (or smarter, depending how you see it). I found small businesses with terrible Google descriptions. You know the ones: "We sell pizza." That's it. I'd run their info through AI with "write a mouth-watering description of this pizza place that makes people hungry at 10 AM." Charged $100 for five descriptions. Took maybe 20 minutes total.

Another thing that worked weirdly well? Translating product listings for Etsy sellers. People sell handmade stuff globally but write descriptions in broken English. I'd paste their original text into AI, say "translate this to natural English but keep the handmade vibe," and charge $30 per listing. Did fifteen of those in a weekend once.

The key is finding problems that are too small for agencies but too annoying for business owners to do themselves. AI is perfect for that middle ground. You're not building a tech empire. You're just being useful with better tools than most people have.

My biggest month so far was February. Made $3,400 combining resume rewrites, local business descriptions, and translating random stuff. Took maybe 15 hours total. That's $226 an hour. Not bad for someone who still can't figure out Excel.

Could you do this? Absolutely. Start with one service. Put up a gig on Fiverr or Craigslist or even your local Facebook group. Underpromise and overdeliver. Use AI to do the heavy lifting but always read through the final result. AI still messes up sometimes. Ask me about the time it said a plumber "specialized in emotional drainage."

You don't need to be special. You just need to start.
