How to Use RV Rental for Your First Big Trip
Renting an RV sounds like the ultimate freedom, and it is, but there’s a learning curve. I rented one for the first time in Montana and almost took out a gas station awning. My advice? Start with a smaller van or a compact RV. They’re easier to drive and park. Also, book campsites ahead of time. I thought I could just “find a spot” in Yellowstone; I ended up 50 miles outside the park. Apps like The Dyrt or Campendium help you find public lands where you can camp for free (boondocking), but you need to be okay with no hookups.
