Computer Vision Basics
It’s wild to think that a computer sees an image as just a grid of numbers. When I started working with computer vision, I kept trying to think like a human. But machines don't see 'cats' or 'cars'. They see pixels and edges. The first time I visualized the filters of a CNN, I finally understood. It starts with detecting simple lines, then shapes, then eyes, then faces. It’s a hierarchy of abstraction. It really changed how I look at photos—just a giant matrix of RGB values waiting to be interpreted.
