Building Healthy Habits That Stick

Building Habits
Willpower is overrated; systems are what create lasting change. Start with the two-minute rule: make new habits so easy you can’t say no. Want to read more? Read one page. Want to floss? Floss one tooth. After establishing the tiny habit, you’ll naturally expand. Attach new habits to existing ones—after I pour my morning coffee, I’ll meditate for one minute. Track your progress with a simple checklist, but don’t break the chain. Expect setbacks; one missed day isn’t failure, but two in a row is a pattern. Environment matters: put your workout clothes out the night before, keep fruit visible on the counter. Consistency beats intensity when building habits that truly last.
